A very attractive and hardy plant that is often mistaken for a Pittosporum. With its red stems and crinkled leaves it is a very attractive small tree. It produces an abundance of seed scattered along the branches, which is purple or black when ripe. It is dispersed by wax eyes and young seedlings are common around the parent tree.
