Working with Businesses

Trees for Travellers works with many New Zealand (and International) businesses in a variety of ways, appropriate to their needs and wishes.

Here are a few examples:

Tourism - we've helped perform eco-audits, and to develop carbon offsetting formulas linked to a quantity of tree sales.

Airport - T4T has supported new marketing initiatives by providing tree sales linked to contract negotiations and new business. Tree plantings have also become an integral part of the celebration surrounding a new contract signing!

Accommodation - following an eco-performance audit, the business asked to make tree sales available to their customers. We then encouraged them to include tree sales within their own business's carbon offsetting requirements...

International Travel - every holiday sold by our partner includes a tree purchase per client. Other tour companies have smaller margins and includes a donation per client, which we convert into a quantity of trees every three/six months.

Eco-Tourism - T4T is working with world-renowned Kaikoura based businesses to support tree sales and carbon offsetting.

Leaflet mail-drops - this company was feeling 'guilty' destroying trees! T4T stepped in to assist them select vegetable inks and renewable sources of paper. We then encouraged them to look at their trading practices and agreed a quantity of tree purchases and advertising linked to the size and performance of their business, and its 'impact' on the planet!

Environmental Charity - T4T offered help and assistance, then agreed to provide FREE trees and plantings (they were previously going to pay for!) Valuable funds were then reassigned to other aspects of the charity's work!

Conference - included a tree purchase per-deligate as a gift to mark the end of their time together, and as a future reminder of their time in New Zealand.

Tour operator - every tour through Kaikoura includes a self-planted tree for each customer, which is included in their package price.

NZ Council - is currently looking at linking their departments, budgets, services and consumption and offsetting into trees. It's early days, but credible forward thinking!

Trees for Travellers supports a business by providing credible and tangible carbon offsetting services through consultancy (where required!) and ultimately the planting of native NZ trees in the Kaikoura region. In return, our Partnership becomes tangible testimony to a business's 'green-credentials'. The business may also use our logo and refer to our partnership in there website, accounts, annual report, marketing, advertising, etc. In an ever increasing 'green aware' world, this is becomming an important motivator for prospective customers; a motive which can no-longer be ignored!
